Serving up Inclusion at 2 Friends Café

2 Friends Cafe Cheque presentation

This past July, 2 Friends Café, owned by Craig Boudreau and Kathleen MacDonald, showed us what inclusion is all about. Located on Charlotte Street in Sydney, the café created a special sandwich called the Accessi-BLT in honour of Disability Pride Month. For every sandwich sold, two dollars was donated to the Breton Ability Charitable Foundation.

Craig and Kathleen didn’t stop there. To make sure the impact was felt in a big way, they topped up the total to a $500 donation. That support helps create experiences for the participants of Breton Ability, like outings, celebrations, and opportunities to be part of the community.

This partnership was more than just a menu special. It was a reminder that when local businesses and community organizations come together, amazing things happen. 2 Friends Café chose to celebrate Disability Pride Month in a way that truly made a difference, and we are so grateful for their kindness and generosity.

Thank you to Craig, Kathleen, and the entire 2 Friends team for showing that inclusion means action, and for helping us build a community where everyone belongs.
