About Ginny Sampson
As a lifelong passionate advocate for persons with varying abilities, Ginny spent 31 of her 35-year career as an educator and administrator with the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board. During that time many of her years were spent working with children with varying abilities in various learning settings throughout the board. As a dedicated educator, she quickly developed a strong desire to help persons with varying abilities reach their full potential.
Ginny has also been an involved community volunteer throughout her entire life, serving on numerous local boards including The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, The Regional Cerebral Palsy Volunteer Board, The YMCA of Cape Breton Foundation, The Board of Governors for the NSSAF, a Billet Parent/Coordinator for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and a variety of other boards and fundraising initiatives throughout the last 40 years.
A mother of three and grandmother of two, Ginny enjoys retired life residing in Northside East Bay with her husband. She is very proud to join Breton Ability Centre board and looks forward to working closely with fellow board members, staff and residents of Breton Ability Centre.
