Breton Ability Centre Board Member

Craig is the Nova Scotia Health (NSH), Eastern Zone Manager of Occupational Health Safety and Wellness (OHSW). He oversees OHSW functions for fifteen healthcare facilities, multiple clinics, and office locations in Cape Breton, Inverness, Victoria, Richmond, Guysborough, and Antigonish Counties. Craig has been with Nova Scotia Health since 2008.

Craig is a certified trainer in several levels of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and is the Provincial Lead in the development and revision of the NSH Workplace Violence Prevention program and policy. He is a recent recipient of the Safety-First Award from the Cape Breton Partnership for his work during the Covid-19 pandemic. Craig is a Cape Breton University Alumni and a graduate of Acadia University with a Degree in Recreation Management.

In his leisure time, Craig enjoys spending time in his community of Port Morien where he lives with his wife Rochelle and their chocolate lab Quincy. He is also an avid golfer (that does not mean he is good at it) and enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking and kayaking.

Craig is honored to be a board member of Breton Ability Center and is eager to learn more about the organization and help guide their work for an exciting and inspirational future.
